REGISTRATION AND ACCIDENT INSURANCE FEE

There is a $30.00 registration fee which also covers your child’s Accident Insurance for the 2017 year, to make sure all children are fully covered in case of an injury or accident. This does not cover pre-existing injuries.

PAYMENT DAYS AND TIMES

In 2017, the front desk will be open 4 days a week for payments. If you wish to direct deposit fee’s into our account, please see Voula for bank details. Please note what days and times we will be open to take payments:

Monday – 4:30pm till 5:30pm

Tuesday – 3:30pm till 7:00pm

Wednesday – 4:00pm till 6:00pm

Thursday – 4:00pm-7:00pm

 


Payment Terms and Conditions


  All missed classes need to be paid for.

  • Fees must be paid in full in advance either weekly, monthly or by term.
  • Late payments after 4 weeks will incur a $25 late fee.
  • If no payment has been made by week 4 of the term, your child will no longer be able to take part in classes until payment has been made in full to date. A $25 late fee will be charged to your account.
  • If you are paying by term, you will receive a 5% discount if paid within the first two weeks of term.
  • Prices are subject to change
  • If your child chooses to leave, we must be notified 1 week prior by email, letter, in person or by phone call. If this does not happen, Rock the Block Dance will continue to charge you fee’s and other charges (costume/concert fee’s) until we are officially notified of your withdrawal.
  • All costume and class fee’s must be paid up to date before the end of year concert or your child will not be able to perform
  • if you decide to withdraw from the concert after 18th August 2017, you are required to pay for all costumes in full price
  • Private lessons are $20 per half hour and must be booked in with Miss Robyn regardless of which teacher you would like teaching your child.

Classes:

Our classes at Rock the Block Dance are based around the following age groups. If in doubt please consult Miss Robyn for clarification.

Tiny Tots: 3-5years

Juniors:   5- 7 years

Advanced Junior: 7-9 years

Pre intermediate:  10-12 years

Intermediate:         13-16 years

Seniors:                 16 years plus

Uniforms (Compulsory – Must be worn at all times while in class)

GROOMING FOR DANCE CLASSES

SHOES – Parents may you please make sure that your children have appropriate foot wear for each dance class. Barefoot is not acceptable unless it acrobatics.

HAIR –  It is imperative that hair is pulled back off the face and tied back neatly as we are finding children are doing their hair during class multiple times and are missing dance class and being distracted.

UNIFORM – Please make sure all children are in full RTB gear while in class. If you do not have an RTB uniform, our colours are turquoise, white and black so please try and stick with these colours.

BALLET – Ballet teachers have requested all students are in tights and a leotard with hair in a bun. Please understand it is very difficult to teach ballet if children are not in the right attire as we cannot apply corrections if children are in baggy clothing.

Ballet/contemporary/Lyrical

  • Hair must be in a bun – Children who do not have their hair in a bun on arrival to class must put it up before entering the class room
  • Pink tights
  • Black leotard
  • Chiffon black skirt (optional)
  • Pink leather Ballet Shoes
  •  Bare foot OR toe socks for Contemporary and lyrical

Tap/Hip Hop/Cheerleading/Troupe

  • Black, turquoise or white coloured shorts, dance pants or track pants (track pants are allowed in hip hop only)
  • Studio t-shirt, singlet or crop top (available from the studio)
  • Shoes for tap – Black buckle or lace-up shoes
  • Shoes for Cheerleading – Jazz shoes or White Sneakers
  • Shoes for Hip Hop and Jazz – Black Jazz shoes for jazz and sneakers or jazz shoes in hip hop

Tiny Tots Jazz, Ballet and Tap – Compulsory

  • Black leotard  (available from the studio)
  • Turquoise Skirt (available from the studio)
  • Tan Split sole jazz shoes (Jazz)
  • Pink Ballet shoes (Ballet)
  • Black buckle tap shoes (Tap)

An Idea of Costs Involved with the End of Year Concert

Costumes to Purchase: $40-$100 per routine

Dress Rehersal: $20

DVD: $55.00 (Optional)

Photos: For 2016, we will be using a DIFFERENT PHOTOGRAPHER than 2015. – Prices will be released soon
