The addition of certificate courses at Rock the Block

At Rock the Block, we believe in training our students to the best of their ability and providing opportunities that prepare them for a professional career in the performing arts industry.  By offering nationally recognised dance courses, we can assist in preparing those students whose core focus is to make a career in dance by giving them the instrumental knowledge and training at a professional level that will have them ready to take on the world in the performing arts industry .

In 2020, Rock the Block Dance and Circus are offering a FULL TIME vocational course in certificate IV in Dance as well as continuing to offer Certificate II and Certificate III. South Western Sydney does not have any vocational courses offering this. We plan on being the first Dance and Circus school to offer this to our students who are in years 9 and above. This will also give dancers an opportunity to undertake a course once they leave school that can lead them to a profession in the dance industry.

WHY DO A CERTIFICATE COURSE?

If you are looking at a career in the dance industry, we highly recommend taking one of our courses. There are so many career options in the dance industry that extend to dance teaching, performing in musicals, being a professional dancer where you can freelance and perform at many events such as corporate, film clips and tv work.

We believe we have the tools to facilitate a thorough, professional and well structured dance course that will assure you can take on all aspects of the performing arts industry from how to prepare and present at an audition, to choreographing and producing your own show. Our highly reputable and professional teaching staff as well as the relevant core units have been carefully selected to guarantee you have the highest degree of tuition.
