Enrolment Information

REGISTRATION AND ACCIDENT INSURANCE FEE

There is a $30.00 registration fee which also covers your child’s Accident Insurance for the 2019 year, to make sure all children are fully covered in case of an injury or accident. This does not cover pre-existing injuries.

Production Fee

In 2019, we will not be fundraising for our production fee for the concerts. Instead, there will be a $20 production fee for circus and a $25 production fee for the dance concert in which the fee will cover dress rehearsal costs as well as trophy costs. This will be added to your costume order form.

PAYMENT DAYS AND TIMES

In 2019, the front desk will be open 4 days a week for payments. If you wish to direct deposit fee’s into our account, please see Voula for bank details. Please note what days and times we will be open to receive payments:

  • Monday – 3:30pm till 5:30pm
  • Tuesday – 4:00pm till 7:00pm
  • Wednesday – 4:00pm till 6:00pm
  • Thursday – 4:00pm-7:00pm
  • Saturday - 10:00am - 12:00pm

Payment Terms and Conditions

All missed classes need to be paid for.
  • Fees must be paid in full in advance either weekly, monthly or by term.
  • Late payments after 4 weeks will incur a $25 late fee.
  • If no payment has been made by week 4 of the term, your child will no longer be able to take part in classes until payment has been made in full to date. A $25 late fee will be charged to your account.
  • If you are paying by term, you will receive a 5% discount if paid within the first two weeks of term.
  • Prices are subject to change
  • If your child chooses to leave, we must be notified 1 week prior by email, letter, in person or by phone call. If this does not happen, Rock the Block Dance and Circus will continue to charge you fee’s and other charges (costume/concert fee’s) until we are officially notified of your withdrawal.
  • All costume and class fees must be paid up to date before the end of year concert or your child will not be able to perform
  • If you decide to withdraw from the Dance concert after 17th August 2019, you are required to pay for all costumes in full price
  • If you decide to withdraw from the Circus concert after 2nd August 2019, you are required to pay for all costumes in full price
  • Private lessons are $1 per minute (at students chosen amount of time) and must be booked in with Miss Robyn regardless of which teacher you would like teaching your child.

Uniforms

Compulsory – Must be worn at all times while in class
  • SHOES – Parents may you please make sure that your children have appropriate footwear for each dance class. Barefoot is not acceptable unless it acrobatics.

    HAIR –  It is imperative that hair is pulled back off the face and tied back neatly as we are finding children are doing their hair during class multiple times and are missing dance class and being distracted.

    UNIFORM – Please make sure all children are in full RTB gear while in class. If you do not have an RTB uniform, our colours are turquoise, white and black so please try and stick with these colours.

    BALLET – Ballet teachers have requested all students are in tights and a leotard with hair in a bun. Please understand it is very difficult to teach ballet if children are not in the right attire as we cannot apply corrections if children are in baggy clothing.

    • All black clothing  - Must include:
    • Long Black Tights
    • Long sleeve top or singlet
    • Black leotard with shorts but must have stockings on
    • No Zippers or buttons on any clothing
    • No Shoes
    • Tight clothing
    • Tights/shorts/leotards/crop tops
    • No shoes
    • Hair must be in a bun – Children who do not have their hair in a bun on arrival to class must put it up before entering the classroom
    • Pink Tights
    • Black leotard
    • Chiffon black skirt (optional)
    • Pink leather Ballet Shoes
    • RTB shorts, Black shorts, black dance pants or track pants (track pants are allowed in hip hop only)
    • Studio t-shirt, RTB singlet or RTB crop top (available from the studio for purchase) If no RTB uniform, please wear all black
    • Shoes for tap - Black buckle or lace-up shoes
    • Shoes for Cheerleading – Jazz shoes or White Sneakers
    • Shoes for Hip Hop– Black Jazz shoes or sneakers
    • Black Jazz shoes for Jazz (From junior classes and above – Tiny Tots, please see below)
    • Jazz shoes or toe socks for Contemporary and Lyrical
    • RTB Black skirttard (available from the studio)
    • Tan Split sole jazz shoes (Jazz)
    • Pink Ballet shoes (Ballet)
    • Black buckle tap shoes (Tap)

End of year concert

An idea of costs involved with the end of year concert

  • Costumes to Purchase: $40-$100 per routine
  • Production Fee: $20 for Circus $25 for Dance
  • DVD: $55
  • Photos: (Not Compulsory to purchase)
    Disc is $20 for a routine or $38 for 2 routines then $15 every routine thereafter
